This role will focus on providing expert guidance and innovative solutions for delivering sustainability within existing residential communities and supporting the team with advice for future developments. Also responsible for driving sustainability initiatives, integrating sustainable practices into planning, and ensuring the successful implementation of sustainable solutions across our operations.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
Sustainability Strategy & Planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor sustainability strategies for existing residential communities and supporting future developments
- Ensure alignment with regional, national, and international sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices.
Project Management
- Lead and manage sustainability projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring timely completion within budget while meeting sustainability objectives
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Advisory Services
- Provide expert advice to internal teams, developers, and community stakeholders on sustainable building practices, energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and climate change adaptation strategies.
Sustainability Assessments & Reporting
- Conduct sustainability assessments of existing developments and residential communities to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sustainability reports, performance metrics, and progress updates to senior management, clients, and external stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance & Certification
- Advise on the application and integration of sustainability-related certifications for existing and future developments and renovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and assist in achieving certification goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams and industry experts to drive the implementation of sustainability solutions.
- Engage with community members and other stakeholders to promote sustainability awareness and drive
collective action.
Innovation & Research
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and practices in sustainability. Proactively identify
- opportunities for innovation and introduce cutting-edge solutions to improve the sustainability of residential
communities.
Training & Capacity Building
- Support the development of training materials and programs to educate stakeholders on sustainability
- principles and practices. Build internal capacity to implement sustainable practices across the organization.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ relevant working experience with environmental management,
- circular economy, sustainability, and/or climate change mitigation in a similar role;
- Strong understanding of sustainability practices, green building certifications, energy efficiency,
- environmental regulations, and climate adaptation strategies. Familiarity with residential and
- urban planning principles.
- Familiar with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI);
- Familiar with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
- Experience with national framework strategies around corporate sustainability
- Knowledge of CSR, circular economic concepts and/or innovative business models is an advantage
- Knowledge of the waste sector and material efficiency (preferred)
- Knowledge of carbon emissions accounting (preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Urban Planning, Architecture,
- Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Member of relevant society, institute, or association (preferred).
